Step to Step Outlook 2010 Main Client to Access Your Mailbox

Assumptions: Username (Email): myname@mydomain.com.my
Password: mySecret |

You should replace your email address and password while setting up your mailbox.
|

|
|
Open Outlook 2010 and go [Add Account] |
|
|
|
|
Select [E-mail Account] and [Manually configure server settings or additional server types] in the first 2 steps of setup wizard. |

|
|
|
Select [Internet E-mail] in the next screen and click [Next>] button. |
|
|
|
|
Setup the necessary information in the settings window similar to the following (change the name, user name and password to yours). Click More Settings to continue setup.
The incoming mail server is mail.mydomain.com.my and the outgoing email server is mail.mydomain.com.my. Replace the mydomain.com.my with your official corporate domain. |

Set the Outlook to use SMTP Authentication in [Outgoing Server] tab. |
|
|
|
|
Go [Advanced] tab to change the SMTP port to 587. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Click OK to go back to previous screen and finish the setup wizard. |
